Description

The Customer Service Representative will be the primary point of contact for customers, providing updates, answering questions, and routing inquiries to the appropriate departments. This role requires excellent communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about helping customers and ensuring a positive experience throughout their solar journey.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing timely and accurate updates on their solar projects
  • Answer customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat, addressing questions about solar energy, installation processes, and project status
  • Route customer inquiries to the appropriate departments, ensuring efficient and effective resolution
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in the customer relationship management (CRM) system
  • Proactively follow up with customers to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns
  • Provide customers with technical information about solar power, solar systems, equipment, and services
  • Assist customers with scheduling appointments and coordinating with the installation and service teams
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and customer satisfaction
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve the customer service experience and processes

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industry
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate information clearly and professionally
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with customers
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other customer service tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult customer situations with patience and professionalism
  • A positive, customer-focused attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
